This guy was extrememly disturbed. If he wanted to hurt people he would have done it in many other ways i.e. knives, homemade bombs(which could cause more injury)
Guns don't kill people do.
If anything, why isnt it being made into a drug issue. This guy was on anti depressants. The Columbine kids were on anti depressants. When are you people going to realize what drug companies are doing to your kids? America is a drug nation. Politicans pander to drug companies cause they are the ones who have the $$$.
Keep drugging your kids America and watch more of these incidents happen.

You know, I was thinking about posting something to this very same effect. But, it's not about drugs. It is about depression, child abuse and our country sweeping these sorts of things under the rug, refusing to acknowledge they exist except to make them shameful and making it difficult for people to get the help that they need. It is horribly, terribly sad what happened and I am not condoning it whatsoever and if it were my family member, I would be devasted. But, you have to feel sorry for this poor guy in some sort of way. He appears to have been massively, terribly depressed. The very bottom line fact is not one of gun control, but finding ways of raising people better from childhood, stopping childhood abuse and providing adequate counseling to disturbed and depressed people. I have read about some of the things this shooter was supposed to have written in his writing classes and it is about terrible things that were done to a child and the revenge the child sought against the father for the atrocities he did to the child. Now, one could say it was nothing but fantasy. We will never know. But, psychiatrists say that this is a classic telling of a person who was abused as a child. If we, as a society, had better protections in place on how to raise more emotionally healthy people, things like this may have been avoidable.
Because liberals will *always* be liberals... and the media is liberal.
Yea.. Guess what Feinstein and Kennedy are trying to do? Put miniature serial numbers on firing pins so that the numbers stamp on bullet casings. Yep, that will make these shootings stop.
So not only are they trying to push gun control when gun control actually ensured all the victims would be defenseless (Gun free zone) but they're pushing entirely irrelevant gun policy.
Not to mention that the numbers stop stamping after you take the gun shooting once.
Not to mention all guns will become at least twice as expensive by implementing this, making them less acceptable to the poor.
Yes the poor should be able to defend themselves too.
I blame the shooter for the V-tech shootings.
But I blame gun control polititions equally.
As well as the school for their "Gun Free Zone"
I partially blame the students for not taking the responsibility to be prepared and not to trust cops and the school to protect them.

its not a drug issue either. I take anti depressants too, I have no desire to hurt myself or others. My guess, he was off his meds. It is a mental health issue. everyone is afraid to say it because its not p.c. to say that the guy should have been in a facility of some sort. There was a time when a person like him would have been getting treatment in a hospital not turned out on the street. Families had more say, now not so much and they just have to turn their backs too. Please get off your high horse about the anti depressants unless you've ever had to take them you won't understand. I truly hope you never have to understand.
