Would it be against the law to impersonate a phone company employee?

Not me exactly... more along the lines of making my car look like a phone company car or elevator repair person or a UPS delivery vehicle etc. so I could get away with parking in private loading zones for 5 - 10 minutes.

I know I can't legally impersonate a cop or public employee, but phone companies are private companies, right?

I'm not looking for ethical judgements. Only legal opinions.

Also, I know it would still be illegal to park there and I could be ticketed, but I think I'd be less likley to get a ticket... I don't mind that amount of risk... I just don't want to risk being arrested for fraud or something because I have a Cable TV or Phone Company sticker on my door...

Yes it would be against the law, what you want to do! It is called STEALING! Thats right! Parking in private loading zones designated for others is against the law, and you would be compounding your charges by inpersonateing a telephone man, or UPS guy! Now you would be within the law if you were an exotic dancer impersonateing one of these dudes., and I am sure if you dressed up like that for Halloween nobody would care.
What is wrong with you that you can't LEGALLY park for that ten minutes?????

You're asking for nothing but trouble.
