Yes, but they are just ideas. Whomever "copycats" a movie, has already decided to commit a criminal act by then. There was a man who was inspired by a movie to turn on the air conditioning full-blast to slow down decomposition of his wife's body, therefore making it more difficult for investigators to determine the time of death.

1000000000000000000% People learn everything from Tv, and music videos. Nowadays you can watch how to cover up a crime by watching CSI or something. Forensics is "cool" now...it's really tragic what our world is coming too.

Definitely yes! Look at all the corruption that is close to a movie that involves murder, rape etc. Hollywood should be shut down!

some of the less imaginative ones may plagerize movies or t.v., but that is not what makes them a criminal. The choice to live a life of crime is going to happen with them anyway, not because of movies, tho, It is the way their minds work anyway. They would be criminals even if they had never seen a movie.

I think it can , but , it all depends on the individuals mentality. I watch a movie and see it for what it is , unfortunately there are a lot of people that struggle to differentiate fiction from reality which is worrying.

Potential criminal may get an idea from anything. Many get their ideas in school or from books. I knew of two who are in jail from an idea they got in college. They made some kind of devise that cloned cell phones.
