Would Virginia Tech turned out differently if EVERYONE had a pistol?

I know that no one really wants to think about it, but I say that things would have turned out a lot differently if every single student and faculty member had a pistol strapped to their side. In fact, I bet it wouldn't have happened at all.

No way 32 people packing heat would have been taken out by one guy. Now is the time that we need MORE guns not less. I think that it should be mandatory for every US citizen over the age of 13 to carry a firearm in all public places.

yep, instead of 32 dead, that fool would have had 31+ holes in him. after he shot the first person he would be dead to rights.

I agree, criminals do not want to get shot, they want easy prey.

boy, after reading the other posts, there are alot of people that are afraid of their 2nd ammendment rights.

There would have been MORE killings leading up to it, from suicidal college students, to abusive relationships involving jealous boyfriends/girlfriends, to party fights, the list goes on.... Give a bunch of 18-21 year old kids guns? Cuz they are ALREADY really responsible...rigggghhhhtttt..

you are assuming that all 32 would have perfectly functioning pistols. if all had jammed, 32 would be killed, maybe even more, so pistols aren't the answer.

possessing a CWP means they no what they are doing and have passed neccesary background checks etc.

I think that's a great idea: force everyone to carry guns. Why hasn't anyone introduced the Bill in Congress yet??? I know the draft is sitting on all the politicians desks. All we need is one brave soul to get the ball rolling.

OK, maybe students are not yet mature enough to carry guns, but you must agree at least the teacher / professor is more than qualified... they see students every day and know how to deal with them, it might have made a difference.

Cops are good at writing tickets to Sr. Citizens but they are hiding behind a tree scared of a 150lb Korean with a .22 when innocent lives are being snuffed out.

The Feds only want to dismantle the Constitution and want to disarm the public. They have proved it by their actions over and over and over and over and over again.

Gun owners are the only thing holding the bankrupt US economy together. We are on worthless Federal Reserve Inc Notes - theyare worthless paper. The Feds can't wait to pull the plug on the US economy to bring us into the North American Union and on to the Amero currency (http://www.spp.gov)

But they can't implode the economy with an armed population that will realize it has been duped for 100 years with their 'fractional banking' and will demand restitution.

They just want to disarm the victims so they can have their way with you. Much easier to get you in a FEMA camp if you are unarmed

They let the attacks happen and wait behind a tree for them to play out so they can get more funding and pass more restrictive laws that only benefit big government.

They administration has no motivation to stop attacks when attacks happen it's win-win for them- and that's not even counting insurance money ; )
