Would you agree that Internet, just like Education, should be a right and not a privilege?

Considering that internet is the best source of information in the modern era? (Think about the people in the poor and unprivileged countries.)
Answer:
No.

It is a privilege. Just like cable tv. If you can afford it, and want it, then get it. If not, then you don't.
No
Yes. But, nobody thinks public libraries are all that important anymore...sigh.
I hate to rain on the technology parade. But there are aspects of technology that need to be addressed.

Like the fact that computer waste is very difficult to get rid of. It leaves all kinds of things in the environment. That way i dont think that we need to PROVIDE it for everyone.

I hope that the internet stay open though. No net neutrality!
No. We PAY to have internet.

Education from K-12th grade is esentially free in USA.
You assume that the internet would be able to be read by those in 3rd world countries. Most of the information gained is useless to those who live in a mud hut. MOST of them do not speak English, and in many muslim nations, females are not educated. So giving them free internet would STILL mean females would have NO ACCESS.
No. Eductation is a privilege in some countries. The internet is a luxury not a right.
